Fettle – accessibility statement
What has been tested on the Fettle pages, what has not, and how to report an accessibility problem.
This statement applies to the Fettle pages published at this address. They are the Workbench application page and the information pages beside it – the privacy policy, the support page and this statement.
It does not cover the Fettle Scanner browser extension. The Scanner is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and runs inside your own browser.
Compliance status
These pages have not been audited in full against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.
No compliance claim is made here. Fettle will state a compliance position on this page once such an audit is finished.
What has been tested
The Workbench application page is checked by this project's own automated tests. They run before every deployment of this site. Those checks cover:
- Colour contrast. The interface draws every colour from a named token. Each token pair that meets on screen is measured against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds, in the light theme and the dark theme.
- Text size and reflow. A real browser renders the page at 320 CSS pixels wide, and again at 400 per cent zoom. No functional text falls below 16 pixels, and the page does not scroll horizontally.
- Keyboard and focus. A skip link moves focus to the main content. Dialogues keep focus inside themselves. Escape closes a dialogue, and focus returns to the control that opened it. The mode tabs follow the arrow-key pattern.
- Theme. A saved dark theme applies before the application starts, and the theme control reports its pressed state.
The information pages are checked by the same tests for their published structure only. Each is checked for its heading, its links and its contact route. That is a publishing check, not accessibility testing.
What has not been tested
- No independent accessibility audit of these pages has been carried out.
- No testing with screen readers or other assistive technologies is recorded for these pages.
- The browser measurements run in a Chromium-family browser only. Other browsers and rendering engines are not measured.
- The information pages, including this one, sit outside the colour, reflow and focus checks described above.
Known limitations
The information pages use one light colour scheme. They do not follow a dark colour scheme set in your browser or operating system. The Workbench application page does follow that setting, and carries a theme control in its header.
The Workbench needs JavaScript. It runs entirely in your browser, so the page cannot be used with JavaScript turned off.
Report an accessibility problem
Say what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. Name the page, and give your browser name and version. Include the assistive technology you were using, if any.
Contact. Accessibility problems with these pages can be raised through the support contact on the Fettle Scanner listing in the Chrome Web Store.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 13 August 2026. It records the checks this project runs, not the findings of an external audit.
